Planning Board 2020 Budget Forums

The Prince George’s County Planning Board of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announces it will hold its 2020 Budget Forums virtually on September 29 and October 13, 2020 beginning at 7 p.m. The Forums are held to solicit comments on the Commission’s budget for planning, parks, and recreation in Prince George’s County for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2021. 

Public participation is encouraged either through a phone bridge or by using GoTo Meeting (online video meeting software). The forums can be viewed live through our streaming service and a video recording will be available for review after the hearing. Everyone who wishes to speak at this year’s Budget Forum must register below by 12 noon, the Monday before the forum. To register, select a meeting date, complete the form in its entirety, and submit. Following your registration submission, an email will be sent with the GoTo Meeting information by 3:00 p.m. the Monday before, including the phone number and a web address to connect to the meeting. Virtual Planning Board – Participation Guidelines  


Effective Tuesday September 29, 2020, Planning Board speaker registration and all materials for Planning Board consideration MUST be submitted by 12 NOON on the TUESDAY, two days prior to the Planning Board hearing. We cannot guarantee that materials received after 12 NOON on Tuesday will get to the Planning Board in time for the hearing, but they will become part of the record. Any materials submitted after the Planning Board has voted on a particular matter will not become part of the record.

The deadlines below apply ONLY to the September 17 and 24, 2020 Planning Board sessions. 

 NOTE: Signing up as a "Party of Record" does not entitle you to speak at the meeting. You must also sign up to speak here for that particular session.

  • All participants must have preregistered in advance by Wednesday 10 a.m. before the meeting at
  • All materials MUST be submitted by Wednesday 10 a.m. before the meeting via email to at the Planning Board Office.  
  • All participants should mute their phone when not speaking. Please do not place this call on hold.  
  • To eliminate audio feedback, only 1 (one) connected device (with sound) should be in a room at the same time.  
  • Anyone connecting through a computer (laptop or desktop) or a smartphone can connect through the link provided via email from the Planning Board Office. Users may be prompted to install GOTO Meeting software to participate in this process.  
  • To participate or listen from a landline, use the call-in number provided via email.

Testifying at  Public Hearings

Public-HearingThe Prince George's County Planning Board usually holds meetings on Thursdays at County Council Hearing Room of the County Administration Building,14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 to consider planning, zoning, and subdivision matters. However, because of the current COVID-19  pandemic, all sessions are currently being held online. Speaker registration for the Board's weekly meetings is available online five days prior to the day of the hearing. The Planning Board also schedules annual public forums on its budget and, either alone or jointly with the Prince George's County Council, periodically holds public hearings on various planning projects, including master plans and sectional map amendments, at locations around the county

For joint County Council-Planning Board hearings, you may sign-up online at until 3:00 p.m. on the day BEFORE the hearing. The schedule of upcoming public hearings is as follows:

The Prince George’s County Council, sitting as the District Council, and the Prince George’s County Planning Board of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing on the Proposed Minor Amendment to the 2014 Southern Green Line Station Area Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment—D-D-O-Zone.
