We strive to meet the childcare needs of families in Prince George's County by offering fun, recreational programs at affordable prices. These programs are licensed by and operate under the guidelines of the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care. With convenient locations throughout the county, our child care facilities are staffed by caring, qualified people dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for every child.

  • Our programs operate at select Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission sites during the school year for children ages 5-12. Program operates in conjunction with Prince George's County School System's calendar. When County schools are closed for full days, all child care programs are also closed.
  • For Prince George's County residents only
  • Completed health forms are mandatory for participation in this program
  • Bus transportation is provided by Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS)

Our Programs

Preschool Programs


Half-day, pre-school programs are available at sites throughout the county for children ages 3-5 (minimum age by August 31). Pre-School operates in conjunction with the PGCPS’ calendar. When county schools are closed for full days, Pre-School is also closed. Children will participate in age appropriate activities and must be toilet trained (unless the child has a qualified disability).

Morning Care Programs

Before school licensed childcare program operating at select M-NCPPC sites during the school year for children ages 5-12 or grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Kids' Care After School Program


Kids’ Care After-School Programs are child care programs held at M-NCPPC sites throughout Prince George’s County. These programs provide after-school structured recreation activities in the areas of sports, arts and crafts, reading, storytelling, music, film, drama, science, nature, and special events, as well as free, unstructured time for recreational pursuits. Prince George’s County residents enrolled in grades K through 6 who are between the ages of 5 and 12 (minimum age by August 31) are eligible to enroll in this program

Therapeutic Programs 


Open to Prince George’s County residents only who are currently enrolled in school and receive Special Education services, Therapeutic Recreation Kids’ Care After-School Programs and Leisure & Life Skills Programs are offered by M-NCPPC at sites throughout the county. Kids’ Care programs serve the needs of individuals with disabilities who are between the ages of 5 and 21. These programs feature small group sizes, high staff/participant ratios, adapted equipment and more. Leisure & Life Skills for Teens is an after-school program for youth ages 13-21 who attend CRI classes at local middle or high schools. This program focuses on social and recreation skill development with opportunities for community integration and socialization with youth without disabilities.

Kids' Club at Fairland


Kids' Club at Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex is designed to offer children a safe, healthy, comfortable environment and encompasses a multitude of developmentally appropriate sports, fitness, and learning activities for all elementary aged children (K through 5). Swimming, gymnastics, tennis, fitness games, indoor and outdoor activities, and arts & crafts are some of the many activities the program offers. Each day, time is set aside for homework and study time.
